11/27 88th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Nothing kicks off the holiday season better than the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade! This 2+ hour parade features marching bands, clowns, fabulous floats, talented performers, popular TV and movie stars – and of course the gigantic balloons that are the centerpiece of the parade. Parade survival tips include: dress warmly – layers, warm footwear, gloves and a hat are all great ideas. The better dressed you are, the more pleasant it will be standing outside for several hours. Lots of folks recommend choosing a spot to watch the parade on the Upper West Side close to our drop off location. Columbus Circle is another great location for parade viewing. Also, keep in mind picking a spot close to a restaurant or coffee shop where you can access a restroom while you wait for the parade to pass by. If taking children, it might be a good idea to leave the stroller at home and carry them on your shoulders. It can be very difficult to navigate crowded sidewalks. But the most important tip is to be ready when St. Nick welcomes in the Holiday season!!!!
